On our Call Rates page you will find a list of some of our lowest call rates to almost any destination in the world. People often ask us how we manage to keep our rates so low compared to the large phone companies. VOIP technology is far more effeicient and less costly than traditional phone lines. That, coupled with our contacts in the industry, means that we can pass the savings on to you. Additinally, the costs of running a VOIP business like Pro-Talk are not as astronomical as those associated with traditional phone companies. Again, we make sure that you reap the benefits. Given this, there is no doubt that the growth of the Internet will soon result in VOIP technology overtaking traditonal phone lines and becoming the primary form of telecommunications.

Our rates are sourced from a number of VOIP providers from around the globe to ensure that you get the best quality products at the most competitive prices in the market. For instance, you can make a call to an Irish landline from just €0.014 per minute - that's just 1.5 cent for each minute, no matter what time of the day you call or where in the world you are calling from! Similarly, calls to a UK landline will cost as little as 1c/m, United States 1.5c/m, India 2.2c/m, Pakistan 3c/m....the list goes on. You can see the list by clicking here.

All of our rates are inclusive of VAT (which is charged at the point of Top-up) and there are no connection fees or any other hidden costs. All you need to get started is:

- an Internet connection

- a smartphone/VOIP phone/tablet/PC/laptop (any one will do) and

- a funded Pro-Talk account.

You do not need to subscribe to a phone number in order to make calls, but subscribing to a number will enable others to call you. For example, if you are a business customer then we recommend you subscribe to a phone number so that your customers can call you and you can call them. But if you are a casual user wanting to call family and friends abroad then we recommend creating an account without a specific phone number. This will ensure that you pay for only what you use.

Remember, there is no monthly commitment, minimum spend or long-term contract. We give you the freedom to use our products whenever, and however much, you want! HOW IT WORKS

You can start making calls by following these simple steps:

Shortly after submitting the form, we will review your information and set up an account for you. This can typically take between 1 hour and 24 hours. We will send you an email with your account Username and Password. Please remember to take care not to reveal your password to anyone. It is your way of accessing the service and you don't want other people using it to drain your call credit.

Log into your account and top-up (using your Paypal account, credit card or debit cad) by either €5, €10, €20 or €50.

Enter your account details into your VOIP phone or softphone. Click here for more information about how to do this.

If your account details are correctly entered, your phone will register with our server and you can start making calls immediately. Remember, VOIP is not bound by territorial boundaries, which means that you will need to dial the phone number you wish to call in its full international format. This is the case even where you are dialing a local number. So, for example, if I am dialing a UK number from London I would dial 0044 followed by the actual number (minus the "0" at the start of that number). A call to London would therefore start with 00441 while a call to Dublin would start with 003531.

After making your call, you can always log into your online account to check your balance, add credit or have a look at your call history.
